We Can Change
No matter who we are, or what we have done, we can change.
Even if we have always been this way, or had a bad temper,
If we made mistakes that haunt us,
Or live with others that shame us, there is no stain.
If we have shamed others we can still learn
That we all make major mistakes,
And all deserve to be forgiven,
Though what we do still matters.
If a rock is thrown into a molten fire,
When retrieved it will burn.
The echo of childhood trauma
Rings loudly in all of our ears.
Life weighs heavily on us all..
In a world changing so fast is it wise to be quick to judge?
Kindness is its own reward,
And our heart is a shining star.
