All You Have To Do Is Be You

Here in Minneapolis Mn, USA we have lilac bushes. In the late spring they come into bloom. When they do you can be sitting somewhere and suddenly there will be a beautiful fragrance that seems to come from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. Looking around you will find them, a beautiful purple color. The presence of these bushes create a difference in mood and makes one aware of the beauty of life.

We each are that way. They are stories about both The Buddha and Jesus going into towns and having them calm simply with their presence. They both also said something to the affect you too, could do as they had done.

Perhaps we should take this seriously. We radiate what we are dedicated to. We do not even have to speak, and those in our sphere can sense if we are about peace or about hate. The truth is we only hate when we are preoccupied with some vision of the past.

When we are present, really present we are like the lilac bushes. Our presence seems to make a difference, and we do not hate. Have the courage really be here, right where you are right now. Do not color the world with the emotions that echo from the past. If you truly see the lilacs when they bloom, and smell their sweet fragrance those in your presence will feel a difference in mood, and you will experience the awareness of the beauty of life.
