Day 5 - Go With The Flow
I just fished writing a piece called There’s Good News and There is Bad News. The bad news in this case is that it immediately disappeared after I finished it. So I can not re write it now, so I would like to share an important practice. Simply spend time with this mantram, or prayer. It is the translation from the great teacher Ekanth Easwaran. Work with it consistently. recite it three times n a row often. Once memorized occasionally; go back to often. Say three times n a row out loud. It is a great practice and will make life easier.
The Prayer Of St Francs
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.
