Day 4 - The Flame That Does Not Flicker - The Pilot Light

The main thing is the main thing. It is the center. When someone says the heart of the matter they are speaking of the very center of the issue discussed. In us, if we get deep enough to find our own true heart we find an authenticity that does not waver, does not flicker. It does not flicker because it is truly safe from the winds of outrageous fortune and the opinion of others. It is the essential; you safe even from yourself.

This undying flame is the pilot light of our inspiration. Your authentic self is not perplexed by circumstances. The North Star is not confused, it is the direction we are headed. If we find the North Star we can move forward with a true sense we are on the right path.

It is compassion, because when we let go of our conditioning we find ourselves naturally compassionate. We are kind, before we have been taught separateness and intolerance. We are filled with joy because moving toward our true self and our true purpose is immensely satisfying. We are filled with positive indifference because we know that we truly cannot be harmed, that we are not in-formed, but formless, not objectifiable and therefore not exploitable.

The eternal North Star is the ultimate manifestation process because it is a complete fulfillment of itself therefore with no need for self destructiveness, because we know on some level we cannot destroy ourselves. We destroy ourselves by being so afraid of change that we magnetize the outcome we do not want.

The still burning flame is our direction home. It is only a direction home when we are under the false premise that we ever left it. The still burning flame does not flicker because it never goes out. We must check our pilot light everyday, throughout the day to remind ourselves of our true birthright. We do not light this flame, but uncover it. When we do the fire burns bright, and the fire is the font of genius, our passionate creativity. Your main thing is you, and the fact that when you are really yourself you do not have to try to make a difference. You are the difference.
