Escape Velocity

Escape velocity is the minimum level of momentum an object must have to escape the gravitational field of a planet. It reminds me of the videos we have seen of rockets, with the power and drive to lift the space shuttle away from earth, requiring an extremely directed , urgent level of commitment. When choosing to shoot a rocket into space with singular focus and determination, we give everything we have in a specifically directed and sustained effort.



In this moment, there is no room to allow our energies to be scattered. We must know what we want, and be willing to pay the price right then. This is what must be done  wrest our minds from the fever that so many in our human family suffer from.



If you see two men fighting, they are not on opposite sides. They have the same view of reality: it is us against them. This is essentially the ancient human view of reality; tribalism. This is the object, the 'planet' that we must free ourselves from.  We must have the commitment - not over time, but right now - to create the velocity to free ourselves from the us against them mentality, even as we see and experience intolerance.
 

You can do it right now, if you choose to live in a world of kindness. It shines from inside out. If you find yourself spending much of your time in judgment and hatred (regardless of what religion you practice or in what way you identify yourself) your mind is caught in the fever of human separateness. Like it or not, the truth is that we are one family - the human family.



We can choose to live in a world where people are described as misguided instead of demonized. Where many are understood or simply caught in mental or spiritual illness, though not evil. ‘Forgive them 'for they know not what they do'. Don't wait for them to apologize or even expect them to. You may need to limit a person in a state of fever, but you need not “hate” them.



Turning points are important, and it is certainly time for one. Choose it, now, and create the Escape Velocity that allows you to see the world in a new and fresh way.  Lets work together to find innovative solutions. We are a magical species. If we can free ourselves as individuals from the pull of the hatred we have become conditioned to feel, we can free the world.
