Exactly as we are

Desperately needing positive change

Fully complete

Life is perfect just as it is

Foolish, hypocritical, sometimes angry

Often inspirational

Often leading, just as often falling short

Exactly as I am, 

 You are, as is the world

Not as we pretend it to be, radiating ignorance

Shaking fists of rage at the man sitting in the corner

Who turns out to be a pile of clothes

We are exactly who we need to be

In this moment so clearly seen

Waking from a long nightmare, realizing it was just a dream

What better time for grace?

A world exactly as it is, becoming what it will be

Life’s what we make it

With forgiveness and forbearance

We are the perfect gift just as we are
