Day 31 -You Are What You Eat


One of my greatest teachers said that all experience is a form of food. All that we ingest, from every breath we take, to every drop of water to every interaction, all of it are the raw materials that make us up. The triumphs and the scar tissue. Even the entertainment we ingest is really energy of one sort that we are transforming into another. 


You most likely have some sense of wanting to eat a good diet. Aware of eating too many fried foods, not too much junk food. You most likely have some underlying theory that informs your eating. Certainly not a diet of straight foot loops no matter how much you like cereal.


Be careful of the types of experiences you feed yourself. Not having toxic relationships, either in your personal life or even in terms of toxic entertainment. Carefully limit news and social networking. Do not go down a rabbit  hole that creates a body(your life) that you do not find attractive.


I am not suggesting a path of ignorance, or willful hiding from what is. I am suggesting having the strength to focus your attention on people and circumstances that create hope rather than despair.


Spend time with people and situations that inspire. Set limits, but don’t mistake your purpose. You are not here to make your life about what you do not want. You are here to create something special. Eat good, do good. You are what you eat.
