Begin Again

I’m pretty tired, but am ready to begin again

I feel let down

Sometimes by myself and sometimes others

 I know I can start fresh

Not with the promise of the actions of anyone else

Not even by my own 

 With focus on where I want to go

I know I will not become what I fear

If it does not have to be me to succeed

 Success is more likely to happen

No chosen people means all are chosen

With your children just as important as mine

In a world that many forget

The promise we owe each other

Us, all of us, equal

Let’s begin again
